Nextcloud keeps files and Talk chats on your server. It is a private cloud and team messenger you host yourself — unlike SimpleX (relays, no server history) and closer to a Google Workspace replacement than Matrix.

What is Nextcloud All-in-One?
The official Docker way to run Nextcloud as one stack: Nextcloud itself, database, cache, reverse proxy/HTTPS, and optional containers (Talk, office, antivirus, etc.). I install AIO and configure the components you need.
Can I enable only what I need?
Yes. The base is Nextcloud AIO with files and core apps. Talk, Collabora/OnlyOffice, ClamAV, and the rest are enabled from your list.
How is Nextcloud different from Matrix and SimpleX?
Nextcloud is a private cloud for files, calendar, and contacts plus a private Talk messenger. Matrix is a team messenger with rooms and federation. SimpleX is a private messenger on relays without server-side history.
Do I need a domain?
Yes. HTTPS, clients, and a stable AIO setup need a domain and DNS pointing at your VPS.
How much resources do I need?
Rule of thumb: 4 GB RAM and 2 vCPU minimum; for Talk and an office suite prefer 6–8 GB. Disk size follows your file volume with headroom.
How long does setup take?
Usually one to two business days after VPS access, DNS readiness, and agreement on components.
